I had a great time photographing The Partners Card "Kickoff Party" benefiting The Family Place a few months ago. The event was hosted by Shay Geyer, an interior designer for IBB Design Fine Furnishings, in her beautiful showroom in Frisco.

I enjoyed meeting this nice group of people who truly cared about helping others. While leaving the showroom, I found myself smiling because I realized that these folks were going to make a difference for someone, somewhere.

Giving Thanks

When I asked the husband what he wanted to do for Thanksgiving, without any hesitation, he said he wanted to go camping. He made reservations at Pedernales Falls State Park (months in advance) to secure a spot and I planned the grand dinner for eating outdoors. It was a lot of fun despite the cold front along with the heavy rains that came through on our third night at the park. I especially liked shooting pictures of my family shooting pictures.

True Love

My good friend Maureen has fallen in love. He's only three years old, but this outgoing (likes to run) little guy is the sparkle of her day. Oh, and, her husband is a pretty great guy too. Thanks for the fun afternoon!!

I had the opportunity to second shoot for the fabulous Caitlin McWeeney. She's a wonderful photographer in Austin, Texas and all around great person... Oh, and I know this because she just happens to be my kid.

Here are few images from a fun night where the room was filled with laughter, love, hugs & tears. I especially liked the UT fight song being played as the couple walked into the reception and the American flag being waved (the burn ban prevented sparklers) as the couple made their exit. A night I will truly remember.

Super Moon Fever

A few weekends ago I popped down to Austin to house-sit for a friend of mine. The second I arrived at her place we were out the door walking to Auditorium Shores for a free SXSW concert underneath the SUPER MOON. It was an amazing night. There were so many people out enjoying the evening. I quickly grabbed a few shots of the skyline while racing across the pedestrian bridge to our dinner reservations. What a moon. What a city. What a weekend.

Lemons To Lemonade

Freelancing during the "economic crisis" in the advertising/catalog business has been a huge challenge. Well, actually, that's not exactly true... it has been a downright beating, and I don't think I could have made it through without my girlfriends (you know who you are) because they really helped buffer the beating. My girlfriend Sherry was one of those friends. She never dismissed my troubles to just a tizzy and she always let me know she was there for me

and my family.

So, be sure to have a good friend to help you drink the lemonade when life

gives you lemons because it makes every day so much sweeter.

Lee & Daniel 10.2.10

Lee and Daniel's wedding and reception was held poolside at the unique Belmont Hotel in Dallas. It was a perfect evening for an outdoor wedding and everyone had a wonderful time. Lots of love, hugs, dancing and plenty of laughter shared between friends & family.... which evolved into one big family by the end of the night.

Thank you for including us, we truly loved being a part of this special weekend.

Molly And Her Boys

Molly Terry is an amazing stylist with a great sense of humor and a strong fashion sense. I wanted to convey all of this in a shoot with her and the fabulous guys in her life. I arrived early to scout the house and do a little prep work. It wasn't necessary. Molly had the bed made up in white like we discussed and she had already picked out the dress and the shoes she was going to wear. Did I mention the shoes!!

Snow Days

Last month it snowed twice!!
That might not mean much to most folks but to a Native Texan it is a very big deal. A few neighborhood kids came by and made snow angels and at night the blue sky cast an eerie shade on the landscape.

World meet Lev!
This little guy stole my heart the minute I met him at the front door.
The shoot was great. Mom was super cool and totally relaxed.
