14 Years Of Love

I have a little history with Pam and her daughter. Years ago I shot some B&W images of the two of them with PolaPan Polaroid film and my Nikon FM2. Shooting this film was so much fun because you could process the film and see the images in a matter of minutes.

Now, 14 years later, shooting with my Nikon D700 lets me see images instantly. It's so much fun shooting creative portraits with the same people and exploring all of the artistic things we can do in photography. It's the history, creative process, and memories in images that really make me appreciate and love photography.

My friend Pam and her beautiful daughter helped me create this stunning image to share for my Mother's Day Portrait Promo. I will post more photos from this fun shoot after the weekend. Going out to enjoy some sunshine!!

Apple/Tree

I came across this image of my daughter when I was organizing my cards and it reminded me of a photo shot of me the year before.

It began to snow on Christmas day and we ran outside to take a few pictures. The wind was blowing so cold, so hard, but when it snows in Texas we don't care, we just want to go outside and be foolish for a short time while this frozen white stuff comes falling from the sky. Our daughter is a mix of the both of us, maybe a bit more like her dad, but when I see pictures like this I think... yep, she's  mine.

Best thing about being married to a photographer... is when you convert your living room into a shooting space and it's okay to move all of the furniture around.

Best thing about being a photographer... is when your sister calls to shoot her daughter's senior portrait and you get to see what a lovely girl your niece has become.

New Images

Website Dilemma

I need to create a new website, but I'm not sure what direction to take the new site. It doesn't need to be fancy. I don't want Flash. I don't need music.  All I really need is the ability to upload current images and possible have clients look at images on a secure gallery. If you have any suggestions send me an e-mail. In the meantime, I'll try and blog more often and post more to Facebook.

Awww, Texas

There's a classic honky-tonk located in the hill country in Bandara Texas. Doesn't it look like a movie set? Serious dancing on the dance floor... and then there's me. I'm lucky if my partner doesn't limp off the floor with a broken toe. Yes folks, those ARE bras hanging from the ceiling!

Wedding Day

Here's a few images of a very fun wedding I shot with a photographer friend in Dallas. The entire day/night was very relaxing and easy going. Maybe it had to do with the fact that I wasn't the primary shooter... love shooting the behind the scene images.
